Additional Information
What is a GSA Account?
GSA is the General Services Administration of the Federal Government. A vendor wishing to do business with the Federal Government may negotiate a blanket contract for the purchase of the vendor's products. This contract allows all Federal departments
and other specified agencies to purchase at the same price and under the same set of rules. No further price haggling or contract negotiation is required.
Unfortunately for many Government employees, purchasing off of GSA contracts can be a frustrating experience. Often, customers don't even know that a contract exists to cover their purchase. If they do know, pricing is often incorrect and contract
terms aren't adhered to because the dealer doesn't understand the system.
Fortunately, we've automated the process at TapeOnline. Our sophisticated e-commerce system eliminates most of the paperwork and compliance burden with the following benefits:
Correct Pricing
Sounds simple, but usually isn't. TapeOnline gives GSA customers GSA prices—online. There is no need to call and ask what the correct price is or, worse, buy at the standard price and wait for a correction to be issued.
GSA "Smart Pay" Credit Cards
TapeOnline accepts GSA Smart Pay MasterCard and Visa credit cards reducing a great deal of paperwork.
Audit Trail / Order History
TapeOnline keeps a running order history for all customers. Should you require an old receipt, just logon and click "Order History" to see a record of all purchases.
Eligible Purchasers
Federal Government agencies and departments are eligible. Prime contractors to the Federal Government and certain quasi governmental organizations may be authorized for GSA purchases, but they must provide documentation to verify their eligibility.
Tape Online will verify that any customer purchasing on a GSA schedule is GSA authorized.
NOTE: State and local governments are not eligible for purchasing under GSA (Federal government) contracts. However, we welcome the opportunity to discuss customized purchasing arrangements with any state and local government authorities.
